In October 2022, Metrics was presented with an opportunity to acquire and develop the project in joint venture with a private developer, who had secured the property through an off-market transaction.
The site is located in the beachside suburb of Dromana, 57km south of the Melbourne CBD on the Mornington Peninsula. The site benefits from 50 metres of beach frontage and also proximity to local amenities including Dromana retail strip, Dromana Primary School and Dromana Secondary College.
The townhouses, designed by leading architects Cera Stribley, are a modern take on the iconic 1960s Australian holiday home. With private terraces, courtyards and spacious, flexible interiors, the Project will appeal to a number of purchasers looking for a relaxed beachfront lifestyle as a primary residence or holiday house.
The homes are predominantly three and four bedroom residences, aligned with demand from owner occupiers, downsizers and second home buyers. There are also a small number of two bedroom townhouses to appeal more to the investor market.
A builder has been appointed and is progressing on site, with target project completion for Q1 2027.
