In October 2023, Metrics was presented with an off-market opportunity to acquire and develop the project with an existing Builder / Developer JV partner.
The Joint Venture has pursued rezoning of the site to deliver a mixed-use precinct, located within the prime position and providing unobstructed waterfront views over the harbour back toward the Sydney CBD.
The proposed master-planned development comprises 6 development blocks comprising 1,885 residential apartments plus 22,500 sqm of non-residential (commercial, hotel and retail) floorspace and a new public library. A new public, pedestrian bridge will also be constructed that will connect the open space to the east to the centre of Rhodes.
The property is currently leased providing holding income until the rezoning has been completed.
Rezoning and Development approval is targeted in 2027 with demolition and construction works to commence thereafter on a staged basis.
